Housing configuration. Single-inlet models are available either as the fan/impeller assembly without a scroll housing (FF series) or with a matched scroll housing (FS series); electrical performance is identical between the two for a given size and voltage. Double-inlet models ship with a matched scroll housing only (FD series). Dimensional drawings are provided separately for each configuration where available. Electrical performance below is organized by size group, not by housing configuration.

Maximum airflow and maximum static pressure are separate peak values, not a single operating point. Use the performance curve for duty-point selection.
Proventofan's quality management system is certified to ISO 9001. This applies at the factory level, not as a per-model product certification, which is why it's stated once here rather than repeated in every row above.
Every model in these four tables is a direct drive centrifugal blower, with the impeller mounted straight on the motor shaft and no belt or gearbox stage between them. Models marked with RS-485 are also available as a variable speed centrifugal blower, supporting speed control beyond the standard 0–10V/PWM interface.

This table compares specifications, not efficiency. Which technology draws less power for the same airflow is a separate question with its own real-world caveats. See our EC vs AC fan efficiency comparison for that analysis.
Need help sizing or comparing EC control signals? → EC Fan Solutions has sizing and signal-compatibility tools that go deeper than this table.
Our range spans from small centrifugal blower sizes suited to compact enclosures up to larger models built for duct blower fan applications, where higher continuous airflow across a duct run is the priority. The three scenarios below are common starting points, not the only places these blowers are used.

Centrifugal blowers move air across the coil in both refrigerant and desiccant dehumidifiers, where a compact footprint and steady continuous airflow matter more than raw pressure.
Typical starting range: our 120mm–140mm single-inlet models sit in the airflow range small-to-mid dehumidifier coils are commonly built around.

Air curtain units often mount several centrifugal blowers side by side across the width of a doorway as a multi-blower array, where combined throughput across the opening matters more than any single unit's pressure rating.
Typical starting range: our 160mm–200mm single-inlet models sit in the airflow range OEM air curtain builders commonly spec for these arrays.

Centrifugal blowers can be used for enclosure ventilation or filtered air circulation in larger enclosed 3D printing systems where ducted airflow is required, a different need from the small axial fans typically used for hotend or part cooling on desktop machines.
Typical starting range: our 97mm–120mm DC single-inlet models are sized for the ducting these larger enclosed systems are commonly built around.
Final selection should be based on the required airflow and static pressure at your system's real operating resistance, not on application category alone.
Three failure patterns we see repeatedly on the procurement side, not the end-use side: what we do to prevent each one.
Cause
A shipping document that calls the product "fan" when your purchase order says "blower" can look like a minor wording choice to a supplier in a hurry, but customs officers check import declarations against the commercial invoice, and a mismatch between your PO language and the CI invites inspection and delay. Internally, your accounts-payable system also does three-way matching (PO ↔ invoice ↔ receiving report), so a description mismatch can hold up payment even when every number on the document is correct.
Solution
The customer's PO is the source of truth for nomenclature, not the supplier's catalog wording. Every shipping document, including the CI, packing list and carton marks, should mirror the language your PO already uses.
Proof
A customer ordering centrifugal blowers once asked us to change the commercial invoice product description from "fan" to "blower" to match their purchase order, and we issued the corrected file the next day. The habit that prevents this kind of scramble: reading the PO's product description at order entry, not at shipping time, when the correction is still free.
Cause
Your airflow or static pressure target rarely lands exactly on a catalog size. Round up "to be safe" and you're paying for capacity, noise and power draw you don't need; round down and you risk an undersized fit.
Solution
Don't select by diameter alone. Motor, impeller width, single vs. double inlet and speed all shift the airflow/pressure curve independently of frame size, so "one size up" isn't a reliable rule. This product line runs in continuous size steps with both single- and double-inlet configurations at several diameters, which gives you more than one axis to move on when your target sits between two single-inlet options.
Proof
Take the jump from our 133mm DC single-inlet model (220 m³/h) to the 140mm (590 m³/h), a big step with no single-inlet size in between. Our 133mm double-inlet model (760 m³/h) doesn't split that gap numerically, but it demonstrates the point another way: changing inlet configuration at the same 133mm frame shifts the airflow curve independently of diameter, a second lever that "round up to the next size" ignores entirely. Give us your target airflow and static pressure, and we'll compare the actual curves, not just the frame sizes, to find the closest real match.
Cause
If your equipment runs on a 24V or 48V DC bus, a fan built for the wrong voltage class means adding a converter, which puts one more component and one more point of failure into a design that was supposed to be simple.
Solution
Most DC sizes are available in paired 24V and 48V versions. The same 97mm, 108mm, 120mm, 133mm, 140mm, 160mm and 180mm frame is offered as a dedicated 24V model and a dedicated 48V model, not one unit that auto-adapts to either. There's no separate 12V-to-48V product line to navigate around; you specify which voltage version matches your bus and get the same frame size, same airflow, same pressure.
Proof
A 133mm DC single-inlet blower delivers the same 220 m³/h at 310 Pa whether you order the 24V version (2.4A) or the 48V version (1.2A). Both versions share the same rated speed, airflow and pressure for that frame, while rated current changes with supply voltage. Let us know which bus voltage you're working with, and we'll point you to the matching model. No conversion hardware needed.
The working principle of a centrifugal blower comes down to three stages.
Air is drawn axially through the impeller eye.
Forward-curved blades throw air radially outward.
The scroll housing converts velocity into static pressure at the outlet (scroll-housed configurations).
Air enters axially through the impeller eye and is thrown outward by the forward-curved blades, which are angled to accelerate air in the direction of rotation. Forward-curved wheels are commonly used where compact packaging and relatively high airflow are required, and models here are available either as a bare fan/impeller assembly (FF series) or paired with a matched scroll housing (FS series on single-inlet, FD series on double-inlet).
On scroll-housed configurations, the housing collects the radial airflow leaving the impeller and guides it toward the outlet. Its expanding flow passage helps reduce velocity and recover part of that velocity pressure as static pressure. Every model on this page runs direct drive, with the impeller mounted straight on the motor shaft, and models marked with RS-485 support variable speed beyond the standard 0–10V/PWM interface.
Single-inlet and double-inlet configurations trade off differently on airflow-per-footprint and are worth understanding before you commit to one. See our forward curved centrifugal fan engineering guide for the full single vs. double inlet decision framework.
Every centrifugal blower on this page is built on tooling we own outright. It's not leased, and it's not shared with another buyer's order.
The impeller mold that shapes your sample is the exact mold that runs your production batch, so there's no retooling step where dimensions can drift.
Motor windings and aluminum die-cast housings are made in-house, not assembled from outsourced sub-components.
Rotor and impeller balance holds to G2.5 as the standard tolerance, with a tighter G1 grade available for vibration-sensitive installations.
Before any unit ships, it runs through our own aging and insulation test benches on full production, not a sampled batch.
As a centrifugal blower manufacturer, we put every model through the same certification and QC process below, whether you're ordering samples or scaling to full production. If you're comparing Proventofan to another centrifugal blower supplier, the documentation here is a good place to start.
CE Declaration of Conformity is confirmed at quotation stage; for multi-model orders, we identify which declaration applies to each ordered model rather than leaving document-matching to the buyer after shipment. Certificate numbers are confirmed and provided at quotation stage.
100% inspection of raw materials and purchased components before production starts.
Checkpoints at the 30% and 70% production marks, covering motor winding and dynamic balancing.
Electrical and airflow performance verification. Rotor and impeller balance is tested in-house to G2.5 as the standard tolerance, with G1 available for vibration-sensitive applications.
100% inspection of the finished lot before release, not sampled, including a burn-in aging test.
Photo or video evidence of the dynamic balancing test can be provided on request.

WhatsApp UsBoth operate the same way: air enters through the impeller eye and exits radially, either directly (bare fan/impeller) or through a scroll housing on housed configurations, and the two terms overlap heavily in general industry use. On this site, "centrifugal blower" refers to our compact 97–225mm forward-curved product line, available with or without a matched scroll housing depending on configuration, while "centrifugal fan" covers our broader centrifugal product families and larger frame sizes up to 560mm. This is our own site convention rather than a formal industry standard.
DC models run on 24V or 48V. EC models run on 230VAC (50/60Hz). Both native voltage classes connect directly to a matching supply without an added converter. A 310V variant is also available on selected DC double-inlet models. Let us know your system voltage or bus type, and we'll point you to the right model for your build.
Airflow and pressure vary by model and inlet configuration. DC single-inlet models reach up to 1,000 m³/h airflow and up to 980 Pa static pressure across the range; DC double-inlet up to 1,200 m³/h airflow and up to 500 Pa static pressure across the range (not necessarily the same model). EC single-inlet models reach up to 1,741 m³/h airflow and up to 1,265 Pa static pressure across the range; EC double-inlet up to 2,000 m³/h airflow and up to 710 Pa static pressure. Give us your target operating point and we'll match it to the right size.
0–10V and PWM are available across the full EC range, with the controller built into the motor housing, so no external VFD or separate drive is needed. RS-485 is available on selected EC models from 140mm upward. DC models follow a similar pattern (0–10V and PWM across the range), but RS-485 coverage differs slightly: it's available on selected models including the 133mm double-inlet series and larger configurations. Let us know which control signal and size you need and we'll confirm compatibility.
All models carry CE marking as standard, and the factory holds ISO 9001 certification. We don't publish certificate numbers on this page. Full documentation is confirmed and provided at quotation stage. Let us know which market you're shipping to and we'll confirm what's needed.
In this product context, yes. "Squirrel cage blower" is a common informal name for a forward curved centrifugal blower, based on the wheel's cage-like appearance, and it refers to the same hardware built here: a forward curved impeller inside a scroll housing. Our range runs 97mm to 225mm in DC and EC. For the full naming story, see our squirrel cage fan guide.
Standard catalog models ship as samples in 3–7 days, with volume orders in 15–20 days. OEM custom builds (different voltage, impeller or private label) ship as samples in 5–10 days, with volume orders in 18–25 days. Share your model and order quantity and we'll confirm the exact schedule.
Development samples can be ordered individually; there's no minimum for samples. Standard catalog orders have a MOQ starting from 10 pieces; OEM custom-specification and private-label orders have a MOQ of 50 pieces. Quantity-based pricing is confirmed at quotation.
Yes. Voltage (within existing size-group options), impeller material, housing color, private labeling, connector type and IP rating upgrades can all be reviewed for OEM orders. Standard frame modifications do not carry a tooling fee; fully custom frames or impeller tooling are confirmed during engineering review. Share a drawing, a datasheet or a competitor part number, and we'll respond within 1 business day.
No. Speed control electronics are built into the motor housing on every model. 0–10V and PWM are available across the full DC and EC range. RS-485 is available on selected EC models from 140mm upward, and on selected DC models including the 133mm double-inlet series and larger configurations. No external VFD or inverter is required. Variable-speed operation still needs a control signal from your own system.
Most models are rated IP44 as standard. Our EC single-inlet D180 and D200 models are dual-rated IP44/54, and the D225 model ships at IP54. If your application needs a different protection rating, flag it at quotation stage and we'll confirm what's feasible.
Packing specifications and container loading figures vary by model and size group. Share your target model and order quantity and we'll provide the full breakdown at quotation.
Yes, in most cases. Send us the part number, a drawing or a sample of the unit you're replacing, and we'll confirm whether one of our DC or EC models is a direct match or whether a modified build is needed. We respond to inquiries within 1 business day.
Not in this forward curved line. Our DC and EC centrifugal blowers here top out at 225mm. For larger diameters, our broader DC and EC centrifugal fan range extends to 450mm and 560mm, though blade profile and specs differ by size. Give us your target airflow and pressure and we'll point you to the closest match.
